LEADS Center for Strategic Business Practice Consulting, better known as LEADS CSBP Consulting, was found in 2002. The inception of this research-based, action-oriented professional firm was first conceptualize by the founder’s 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in venturing and managing his own businesses of garments & accessories, food & beverage, wholesaling & retailing, and education. The founder's accumulated knowledge through business networking have exposed him to one phenomenal problem which is common and persistent across industries in Malaysia. A majority of business firms, especially those from the SME sector, are facing the challenge of strategic drift among entrepreneurs, owner-managers, and employees. This problem characterizes the unmatched between what has actually changed in all levels of environment and what is being changed by the company management as a result of human’s inability in monitoring and adapting to environmental “instructions”. Such operational discrepancy reflects complacency in learning attitude, knowledge management, and personal development among Malaysian SMEs affecting their competitiveness in the global race.

The challenge of strategic drift has inspired the creation of LEADS CSBP Consulting with business ideas practically feasible in assisting Malaysian entrepreneurs and owner-managers to improve their firm performance. More specifically, LEADS CSBP Consulting is in its own sense of urgency to promote the value of entrepreneurship and managerial competencies in the Malaysian SME community.
